I don't mind speaking up.  If the story should air,  I do not want it to be portrayed that the police do not patrol our neighborhood on T.V. - it would be like an open invitation to thieves.   I would like to know how much money is spent chasing people in the trails?   I would also like to know why dirt bikes out rank potential danger.  I would like to know if there is anything that can be done about parked cars in the streets.  I would like to know if we can add speed bumps on San Joaquin or any other street that is a thru-way - it might slow people down as well as thieves.  Does anyone else have questions they would like to ask?

I think I would have to agree with you TCB...I really don't want a Vegas sized marquise announcing we have no support from law enforcement in our neighborhood!  We used to have an officer assigned as a liaison to our community what ever happened with that?  I think that would be the person to answer our questions which obviously are far less important to some that a drilling permit for a gas lease or damn wall!  I guess perhaps the checks weren't enough for some to buy anything worth stealing that's why the silence.  I know we can help each other out, my neighbors were gone for 2 weeks and we went everyday and changed things up,  lights blinds etc.!!  Her house was one that was vandalized last year, and any street light that's out needs to be FIXED!!!  AND WE SHOULDN"T HAVE TO FIH

Yup, we did have an officer assigned to our neighborhood. Remember our NPO? He was the one that assisted in the Do Not Trespass signs. I did contact him around that time to let him know what the public opinion of him was by actually pasting some portions of the blog as it pertained to him.  I might  as well bad mouthed his mother. He became overly defensive, focusing only on what a crime trespassing is and how he does such a good job speaking with the residents. Of course, all of that was back in April. It sure looks like the swamps are more important than us.

And speaking of the vandalism last year, was there ever closure?
