Music uplifts, inspires and connects. The mission of Carolina Voices, a volunteer choral arts organization, exists to enrich, educate and entertain our diverse community through quality performances of choral music.
Carolina Voices was founded in 1954 and is best known for The Singing Christmas Tree, the oldest such singing ''Tree'' production in the U.S. It has grown to support a total of four choirs who perform a variety of repertoires year-round. Participation is by audition; all singers are volunteers. Membership is open to all interested singers who enjoy the fellowship which choral music promotes. The 2005-06 season, whose theme is ''Building Community Through Song,'' offers a wide range of contemporary, traditional, sacred and secular music, including Broadway, as well as three world premieres. Concert venues vary. Male voices, in particular, are being actively recruited. Call our office at 704-374-1564 to schedule an audition time.
