Garden Project at Carpenter Avenue and 239th Street Continues...

We are currently in Phase III of our community garden project -- "the garden design". Luis A. Lemus, Community Horticulturist from Bronx Green-Up, The New York Botanical Garden, is guiding us through this phase.

It is our goal to have the garden site ready for Spring, 2003 so that the neighborhood schools may utilize the garden site as a learning resource for their students.

You can help during this phase of the project by supporting our Flea Market Fund-Raiser Event! Come out and shop with us on Saturday, October 26, 2002 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Rain date - Sunday, October 27, 2002.

-gates were locked on Matilda Avenue and Carpenter Avenue daily from July 1 thru October. The program is expected to be continued...
