A Brief Story to Start Wtih

The idea of Carriage Point was conceived back in 1987 and was to be a total community type subdivision, meaning that it would have walking and jogging trails, tennis, swimming,club house, etc. etc. Big dreams we had back then. This property was available as was many in 87 and we looked at all of them but this land was the best for our dream. Carriage Point Corp. was owned by three builders, two of which were partners of another building firm and my wife and I (being as one) the third partner. Our home building company was called "Gilbert Bilt Homes".
Carriage Point Development Corp. and then later Carriage Point Builders started with the plans to develope this tract of land for both first time home buyers and then to the move up home buyers. This created two separate subdivisions, which you know as Ashley at Carriage Point and Drayton at Carriage Point, joined together by 5+ acres of common cummunity property which was used for the tennis court, swimming pool and pond. (I wish this site had spelling correction) Oh well. We worked hard for about 6 months on the land and street developemnt before the county ok'd it for the start of home building. Anyway this hasn't been so brief so I'll stop for now and give out some more "briefs" later. God bless for now.
