I just sprayed $20 worth of weed killer on the yard next door to my house....  

Those of you who are bashing the HOA.....again.....yes, we are doing something about it, we are coordinating a dumpster for the weekend of April 26th.  And yes, all of you who pay your dues are paying for the dumpster because the HOA is paying for it.  All of you out there who continually bash the HOA and say we do nothing, YOU HAVE NO IDEA.  Just because we aren't out there picking weeds out of other peoples houses doesnt mean we arent doing anything.  Appearantly you have never sat on a board before!  And those who complain about the landscapers....if you recall a year and a half ago how HORRIBLE this place was with the old landscaper, you know how much better it is now.  And LandMark (our landscaper), were the best deal of 5 bids, we didnt just open a phone book and choose a landscaper.  They are the only company that we got a bid from the would come out 5 days a week for their price.  And we don't pay 20k a month.  If you open the financials on the home page, you will see that it's 17k.  The other landscaper, who did nothing, and has ties with Kachina....big surprise.....charged almost 14k per month.   For 3k extra, I think LandMark does a fabulous job.  And if you see a problem area, TELL them, they will take care of it.  They are people too, they are not perfect and they miss things.

The problem with the HOA Board is they don't comunicate with the members(other than you). I have been to every meeting since they started. All I ever hear is weeds and what the board has already decided to do. Some of the other higher up Board members should get on this great site that you created and get some input. I better get out there and put my garbage can away now.

To be honest, the above post is one big reason why I stopped going to meetings (doesn't help hubby's on the board and nobody to watch the little one w/o paying a sitter) because at every meeting it was weeds this and weeds that and I got tired of going to hear about weeds during 99% of the hour long meeting and paying a sitter to watch my son for me to go and listen about weeds so I whole heartedly admit I stopped going awhile back and that's one big reason.
