I am so sick of trying to ask questions that don't merit an answer at these meetings. How can anyone say that the board members are there because they want to better the community when every issue is either viewed as a problem that cannot be helped or they don't want to deal with? One of our newest members from the back tonight asked a legitimate question- why set up an impossible budget that will inevitably end in deficit? There was an answer- it didn't start out that way and now we are paying for Kachina's mistakes. So then, where is this audit that we were supposed to hear the results of at tonight's meeting? Oh, that must have been missed in the minutes, I see now. Let's ignore the past and keep repeating our mistakes. Okay, I will be a grown up and move on.... the dwindling budget... why is this not a monthly adjustment to be revised? Isn't that the purpose of a budget- to live within the confines of the finances we have? Hmmm.... I hear some repetitive economic issues in the recesses of my head.

Enough of the soapbox. I am way tired of trying to figure out how to work with our HOA board and management company, so I will continue to pay what is required, but will continue to fight over bull$@&%fees that are being paid to companies not performing work as well as new fees for services that are unnecessary and will push us all farther into debt.

Does anyone really think that our dues will be fairly assessed based on a new garbage service, or am I alone in thinking that Oasis will continue to vamp up the bogus late fees and false fines to compensate for the loss?

Any thoughts? Please, someone humor me....

For the time being moving ahead would be a good idea.  But I would like to see, and not at the next meeting, before that, exactly what bills are still owed apon and there balances.  Exactly how many homes are in arrears, this should be spilt in two catigories.  One for Bank owned homes and one for owner owned homes, exactly how many have leans been placed apon them, and what is being done on the rest.  At tonights meeting it was explained that if the Bank ownes the home they are not paying the assessments until the home is sold.  Maybe our Management company could be calling these bank owned homes and asking them to pay the assements so we can keep paying our bills?  The assessment have to be paid sooner or later, may as well be now so our community can stay afloat.  I personally am getting tired of hearing "oh that was a past bill" .  Needless to say a FULL aduit is needed, and soon.  I know one of the problems is to make the aduit leagal certain guidlines must be followed, paying a company for a audit maybe the only way to go on this, but it is a catch 22, where do we get the funds to pay for a audit ? Would the community aggree to a special assessment for a audit ?  I don't think that many would.  If anyone works as a CPA or for a company that could perform a legal aduit for us either at a greatly reduced price or free, I would sudgest contacting the HOA Board. Maybe post it on here so everyone knows there is hope.

I have the video of the meeting before and watched it before going to last night's meeting. We were told then that a community member is a CPA and had volunteered her time to compile an official audit and we would get the results of such by the 7/29 meeting. It was not even part of the minutes or discussed at all. I should have stayed instead of blowing up and leaving so I could have asked, but I highly doubt an answer would have come. They would have just said they would "look into it" as this seems to be their most popular excuse. So sick of no accountability.

BTW... just because I did not volunteer to be on some committee or to help, does not excuse the blatant lack of respect, diligence, or responsibility the board has to our community. So sick of this excuse as well. I made a conscious decision not to volunteer any more help or time until the work gets done for what we are already paying. This comes out of all our pockets as it is.

And they wonder why so few people come to the meetings.
