I missed the meeting last night. So who left the board, and why? Did they start collecting names for the new board? Are any of the board mebers running again?

Thanks - sounds like it was another crazy meeting.

There was NO announcement at the meeting about a open seat, I did notice that John  was not at the meeting ... Oh and our President was not there AGAIN.  I wanted to put my name into the hat, however I was told there will be something sent out.  Oh great another mailing that will not arrive to many homes.  There will not be a August meeting so September will be our Annual meeting with the election results ????  This was very confusing because someone asked a question "who will be counting the votes?" Brett said we could form a committee to count the votes. Another sudgestion from our woman board member was have the kids at the school count them. ( yup I want 5th and 6th graders counting ballots for this election).  I had made a sudgestion of hiring the League of Women Voters, I have already been in contact with them and they gave me a rough idea of $1.00 per ballot at the top end.  If only 500 people returned ballots that would be $500.00 for a third party to tally the ballots.  Nothing was deceided.

The more I think about this the more I think this is not going to work.  If at our Annual meeting is when we elect our board members we HAVE to have a meeting in Aug.  Give the people a chance to sign up, have the people that are signed up be at the Aug. meeting so the people that have attended the meeting can ask them questions.  Right now we have no idea how the votes will be counted, who is running, when the ballots will be sent out, what the views are of the people that will be running.  This just does not make sense.

Just to remind everyone, I will be running.

At the meeting none of the current board members stated anything about running again or not, so it's up in the air.

I will not run if the President or VP is planning to run.

I will not waste anymore of my time and energy volunteering on a board that is basically run by three people and closed off to suggestions and ideas from others. After the experience I had the first time around with them, I will not put myself in a position like that ever again.

AND WE KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!!!!!
