What are utilities (water, garbage, city fees etc) like in this community? For anyone who has lived elsewhere in the valley is it higher or lower.

Thanks!

Water varys for everyone, mine is between $30-$40 a month depending on the season (summer grass).  The sewer is about $40/mo.  Trash is included in the HOA dues ($50/mo), and electric REALLY varys for everyone.  We spent quite a bit when building in extra insulation and energy effeicient windows and applyances, so we spend about $320-$350 in the summer with a/c set at 76 and $150-$200 in the winter with the heat set at 76.  I don't know what gas runs, we don't have gas in our home.

What company does the water? Also, what kind of internet/TV/phone companys are out there? Is high speed internet available?

Also, does the HOA go up every year or has it stayed around the same?

Sorry for so many questions, but it's actually really hard to find out answers to these questions from real estate agents.

Thanks.

The water company is H2O and they are located just down the road on Schneph, our water bill a month is $30 a month pretty much all year long.

Sewer is Johnson utilities and our monthly bill is $41 a month all year.

For cable TV you have a choice between Cox and Mediacom, they both have High speed internet and phone service.

We have had both and are currently with Cox and have a package deal with cable, high speed internet and phone for $109 a month.

The gas company is the city of Mesa and an average bill for us is $80 in winter when colder and $20 a month in the summer, we have gas hot water and heat.

The power company is SRP and in August and September my bill hits it's highest at $395, I have a two story 2,900 SQ. FT home with five kids opening and closing doors all day.

We moved into Castlegate a year ago and the dues went up this year, I'm not sure if they have in the past.

I hope this helps you
