Centerton Neighborhood Watch Getting Back On Track

Getting Back On Track

Good Evening Everyone,

We're very excited to start getting the Centerton Neighborhood Watch up and running again and we want to fill you all in on what is currently happening.

First, we hope that you take the time to join the neighborhood watch and get involved in your community. The neighborhood watch is designed to assist the police - be their eyes and ears of things that are not right. What it does not include is apprehension and becoming a vigilante.

Also, we are lucky enough to be in an age where cell phones are a commonality. With this in mind, we also have a place where our children can get involved as well and be prideful in their neighborhoods as well. This is an adaptation of the idea that is presented in the books regarding Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street Boys but is tied in to the neighborhood watch program.

We have updated the City Officials and Police information at this time, and the community calendar is also starting to take some shape.

What we would like for you to understand is that this is not a program that is run by the City of Centerton or the Police. This is not a group to run off personal political agendas. The Centerton Neighborhood Watch is a program where residents of Centerton come together and work together to keep their homes, their families and their streets safe.

We are currently in the process of trying to reach out to the Centerton residents and get a grasp of who is interested in joining our group and get our first official meeting scheduled.

After three years of the group being silent, and the City of Centerton growing by leaps and bounds in the meanwhile; it's time to keep our families and homes safe.

The police are here to help us, protect us and to enforce the law. However, if the police are not aware of a problem, then they are unable to help. This is where the neighborhood watch comes in.

We would love to hear from you. We would love to see our neighbors join us in getting involved.

Please contact us for more information.

Thank you,

Joe and Leslie Baker
