Alysa Development Corporation has proposed developing the "Air Ranch Estates" near Alysa Rd and Old Maypearl Rd for homeowners with airplanes, helicopters and experimental aircraft. There could be up to 80 aircraft landing and taking off at all hours of the day or night from an uncontrolled airport (no tower, no safety equipment, no lights) as part of this development. We believe this development to be a safety concern for our entire community. There have been recent near misses at this site by aircraft viewing the property. Our community infrastructure (fire, water, and sheriff) may not be ready to handle the issues raised by this type of development. We also believe that the noise from these aircraft may ruin the character of our community, frighten nearby livestock and could possibly reduce the market value of nearby property.
