The core purpose of Community Associations Institute (CAI) is to foster vibrant, responsive, competent community associations that promote harmony, community and responsible leadership.
- Seminars, workshops, conferences and educational programs are offered on a regular basis
- CAI offers the largest collelction of resources available on community associations, including books, guides, and Common Ground magazine
- Conducting research and acting as a clearinghouse for information on innovations and best practices in community association creation and management
- Advocating community association interests before legislatures, regulatory bodies and the courts
The Chesapeake Chapter covers the entire state of Maryland except for Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. Homeowners, Board members of community associations, and any vendor/supplier who provides some kind of service to the community association industry, i.e., landscapers, accountants, attorneys, pool maintenance, insurance, fire protection services, roofing contractors, painting, general contractors, etc. are eligible to join.
Annual membership dues range from as low as $95 for an individual member up to $595 for a ''Gold'' Membership.
