Like an old friend, we?’ve grown accustomed to CAI?’s familiar ?“diamond?” logo. It?’s been there?—on letterhead, envelopes, publications and business cards?—since 1991, before many of us found our place in the community association field. But time does not stand still, and neither should CAI.
With this in mind, we are pleased to introduce CAI?’s new visual identity, a new logo. (A video presentation introducing the new design can be seen at www.caionline.org.)
As we work to brand CAI and the new logo, both to members and beyond our membership, it will increasingly signify who we are and what we do?—as volunteer community leaders, professional managers, management company executives, and business partners. What we do is lead, support, educate, innovate and inspire, and these are the same attributes that inspired our new logo.
CAI Chief Executive Officer Tom Skiba captured the significance of the new logo in the following statement: ?“This is a major step in our drive to strengthen CAI in the growing community association field and a reflection of our renewed commitment to member value and service. More than just a new logo, our new visual identity emphasizes our most important asset?—the people who work together to create more livable communities.?”
Tom Skiba joined the Chesapeake Chapter Board at their October meeting to talk about future plans for CAI. Tom has high hopes for the future. He is in the process of reorganizing and restructuring the membership categories and also reassessing the membership benefits available to CAI members.
The logo is the result of extensive research and member surveys to determine the images CAI members associate with particular words and phrases. In the end, the design crystallized around concepts like community,?” ?“professional,?” ?“education?” and ?“expert.?”
The new logo will start to appear on all our Chapter and National communications as brochures and publications are reprinted. Hope you like the new look!
