The Ridge was developed in the early 80's as a planned community development. It is a beautiful setting that combines privacy and compactness using design and landscaping in ways that are difficult to find.
Lake Natomas, the American River Bike Trail, the Nimbus Fish Hatchery, CSUS Auatic Center, Lake Natoma State Park, and the Jedidiah Smith Parkway are literally less than five minutes away.
Turkeys and deer abound throughout the neighborhood as the surrounding ravine natural areas and parkways naturally contribute to the residents experience of nature. Visitors are surprised to see so much beauty hidden behind a narrow community presentation along the familar Hazel corridor.
The Ridge is a little more than twenty years old. Many maintenance projects have been completed in the last three years, and all big maintenance projects will be completed by the end of 2006. The communities curb-side appeal has never been better.
Board meetings take place every 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 6:30.
Completed: Roofing, Clubhouse renovation, Pool/Spa resurfacing, Pool area re-landscaping, river rock, paving of streets.
Painting of the property is now in planning the planning stages. Painting will begin sometime this summer.
Yet to be done: tennis court resurfacing.
