NAED Cable TV status

Thanks for your kind words.

We are currently gearing up again to inform the residents of No. Attleborough that we are indeed proceeding on the project to bring Cable TV and broadband communications to this town. And you are correct, the pricing will be lower than the current provider with programming included that is not included by AT&T.

Look for details in the February issue of Light Lines as well as the press. Also there will be direct mail to residents explaining the project in more detail. On top of all that, the residents will be notified of the time and channel on our public access channels to see how other communities are doing with their municipal cable projects.

You could help by spreading the word and getting your friends out to vote on April 1.

Replace or Co-Exist with AT&T?

Hi,

I've read the material on this site regarding the proposed Cable TV/Internet service. It looks good so far.

My questions are:

1) Will NAED be replacing AT&T completely or competing side-by-side?

2) How long after all approvals are obtained will we see this service?

3) Will we be able to switch to NAED cable/internet service using existing lines or will NAED have to re-wire (with a service fee) our homes to access NAED cable?

Thanks!

hmm

multi-tier internet bandwith options on a fiber cable system, sounds like an overselling strategy, which would be disasterous in competition with AT&T.
