Welcome to the Community at Roosevelt Square, the resident association at Post Roosevelt Square.
Renters frequently feel like strangers in a strange land: often not included in the surrounding neighborhood nor the city's community development efforts, and hampered by the anonymous and transient nature of apartment living, renters sometimes have trouble connecting with their neighbors. This association, which was founded by residents, intends to offer the tools necessary in order to build a true community.
We are an informal and formal group. Informally, we have created this web site, which is a continuous work-in-progress, to provide you with community news, links, event information and a forum for connecting on-line with your neighbors. This informal mission is dynamic--make of it what you want. If you would like to create social clubs, post an event, advertise--it's your space!
Formally, we represent our interests as residents. Liaison-ing with the Roosevelt Action Association, the organization of our umbrella neighborhood, we will vote, negotiate and speak on issues that impact us as residents of Roosevelt Square, the Roosevelt Historic District, and Phoenix. CARS also acts as a resident advocate with Post Properties, collectively representing our requests and needs on such issues as recycling, service support, retail wish-list, et al.
You are not required to become a member, but we hope that you will do so. It takes only a few minutes to register and special membership benefits are available.
