Coomer Creek Neighborhood

In the spring of 2004, we started with 15 neighbors from our 3 developments that comprise Coomer Creek. We are now active and communicate through Coomer Creek Nextdoor, Inverness Nextdoor and Facebook Garland Flamingo Neighbors.

Mission Statement -

FB Garland Flamingo group was created to strengthen the neighborhood ability to communicate and build stronger resident relationships:

• To develop a safer and friendly community.
• Enhance growth and foster civic awareness in our diverse community with a stronger voice as a collective body in order to go to the city government to advocate for needs in our area and the city at large.

Join Us Today!

We organize a National Neighbor Night Out event each October in Coomer Park and schedule monthly neighborhood crime watch walks. We also go caroling together each Christmas. And have many neighborhood gatherings that are posted to the Facebook page.
