BF

This board has been a great outlet for a lot in BF. BF needs to get citizens together and create a coalition. No longer can one or two people fight for us all. There are major changes that could be made in the municipal code that would help us out a lot. Citizens should move towards a moritorium until adjustments are made. The problem with the majority of council is they think that nothing can be done and they are doing the best job they can...wrong. BF has a weak open space committee, the recreation department is a joke. Council members I have spoken to appear to be sincere; however, they are not sincere enough to make some changes in the laws that govern the city. There are many laws that could help us all but they will not roll up their sleeves to change them. Council says sorry guys, this is what we are stuck with. And staff supports them by saying this is what the law is and it would be challenged in the courts. I would think Bf would welcome opposition it shows that citizens are wanting to be involved and want to make a change but it seems that instead some council members say we are ignorant. Council needs new blood and Olstad cannot do it all on his own.

I was unaware of this and I am certainly not in favor of secret meetings, makes me think that they are trying to hide something and to not let the people have any say in anything that they do.

You must work at being misinformed. Why is it that you twist facts to conform to your weird perceptions. If you would take the time to look at the maps for the Northwest Parkway, you would see that it will clearly be a parkway with significant amounts of open space along the parkway corridor. There is no Interlocken north - that's another figment of your imagination. Why is it impossible for you to tell the truth? People are tired of your continuous diatribes of lies and paranoia. Broomfield is doing very well. Your taxes are going down. Broomfield is acquiring significant open space areas. Get your head out of the sand. Your are the proverbial Chicken Little.

What town do you live in? I suggest you find the IGA which you approved dated May 12,1998; between Interlocken and the City of Broomfield on the NWP. This is where I get my information. What do you call significant open space?
Under this agreement, there will be 75feet of open space on each side of the freeway. That, stupid, is not as wide as my front yard.
As for 40% open areas (including open space AND developed parks) we are currently at 2%; or do you understand the math required to figure this out.
Come back with more of your stupidity; John, not only has the second Interlocken campus been openly discussed, with Jim Long leaving his current position to concentrate on its development; the subarea plan for housing has also been openly discussed.
Go look it up if you were asleep during this meeting. What a lousy council member you are. No wonder you are so totally uninformed; is this why you and all the council want to keep the public out? Is this why there is no opportunity to vote for anything in this town? The council is made up with people like you; a bunch of loser wannabes. Only one person on their believes in voter participation in major decisions; and not one council person has the guts to even give him a second motion. Perhaps it is because Steve is new; and "not for sale" like the rest of this council.
