The covenants for Crystal Gardens were first filed with the Oklahoma County offices in July of 1999. The first homeowners moved in shortly after that. By December of 2002 the number of homeowners grew to about 50. The following February, at the first annual meeting of the association, the developer relinquished control of the association to the homeowners. The homeowners elected a board of directors who then chose Redbud Property Management Co. to assist with the operation of the association. By May of 2004 the number of homeowners had grown to 80. There are a total of 103 building sites in the development. Only seven of them remain vacant at this time (May 2004). The remainder have homes which are either occupied or at some stage of construction.
Crystal Gardens Homeowners Association consists of all the homeowners within the Crystal Gardens sub-division. (As of May 2004 there were 87 members. When all of the homes have been sold there will be a maximum of 103 members.) The homeowners assumed control of the association in February of 2003.
