The Purpose of Scouting

The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, ncorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.
Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. Cub Scouting is a year-round family-oriented part of the BSA program designed for boys who are in 1st through 5th grades (or ages 7 through 10). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the:

Membership

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

Grade & Age: 1st through 5th grade boys (ages 7 through 10) are eligible to join the following programs (grades are ?“completed?” officially on June 1st each year): September of each year we have a joining night, but you are welcome to join at any point during the year.
