The mission of the Cypress Hills & tenants association is to preserve the character of our neighborhood by:
1. Improving living conditions of residents in the area, especially low-and moderate-income families.
2. Improving communication and cooperation of areas residents regardless of age, race or national origin.
3. Providing residents of the area with access to decision-making process of the city-state and federal government.
4. Eliciting impute and assistance from members of he business and civic community.
5. Assisting in the provision of decent and affordable housing to low and moderate-income families.
6. Helping new Americans become assimilated into the American culture without losing their native culture.
7. Implement programs to assist or community to revitalize their neighborhood and reclaiming the core of the history of this existing area.
8. Promote awareness and initiatives to foster other programs to assist our community and our seniors.
9. Reclaim public participation and trust in the community and becoming key stakes holder as catalyst in civic engagement and bring about major changes in the community thus affecting the way city agencies conduct their business.
10. Initiate a positive mechanism to enhance the vital necessities of participating in the community meetings and becoming a part of lasting social changes.
