is a non-profit corporation that was created under the laws of the state of Florida. It was incorporated under those laws for the purpose of protecting and nurturing the interests of its homeowners, preserving and improving property values, and developing programs and events to enhance a strong sense of community spirit.
The Board of Directors was convened in August 1998 for the purpose of assuming responsibility for the corporation from the developer on behalf of the residents of Cypress Landing. The Board generally meets once a month (the second Monday of the month) to deal with issues affecting the community. To assist the Board in executing its responsibilities, Greystone Management Company has been hired as the community association manager and the law firm of Taylor & Carls, P. A. has been engaged to provide expertise in their area of expertice.
There are five Board members elected each January at the Annual Homeowner's Association meeting. There is a President, Secretary, Treasurer and two Directors at Large. In addition, a number of committees have been formed to pursue areas of special interest. At present, these committees are the Architectural Review Board the Maintenance Committee, the Neighborhood Watch Committee, the Social Committee, and the Welcome Committee.
Cypress Landing is a very desirable neighborhood of 220 homes. It is located close to major thoroughfares (Interstate 4 and the Florida Turnpike) with residential prices ranging from $500,000 to $800,000.
