Spring Picnic 2003 A Success!

On Saturday, April 24, about 60 people attended the Denniston Park NA spring picnic. Special guests included newly elected Ward 2 City Councilman Sam Bowman and his family, State Senator Cliff Branan and his family, Michael Loruse the Will Rogers Station Community Police Officer and both trucks of Fire Station Number 14.
Neighbors enjoyed a pot luck supper with the neighborhood association supplying fried chicken. Door prizes included 2 round trip Amtrak tickets, a $50 US Savings Bond, a Denniston Park neighborhood watch sign, Big O front end alignment, gift certificate from Bill & Irene?’s Flower, gift baskets by Matt McNeil, various prizes from Oklahoma Department of Transportation and a cut and color hair salon gift certificate. Susan Johnston presented a certificate of appreciation to all of the Denniston Park volunteers for volunteer time given to the neighborhood.
