Picnic and Litter Blitz Set for 4-26-03

Denniston Park Neighborhood Association is having a Spring Picnic! Mark your calendar for Saturday, April 26th. We will have a LitterBlitz work morning in Denniston Park from 9:00 to 11:00 and will have the Picnic from 11:30 to ??. We have scheduled a rain date for this Spring Picnic for Saturday, Mary 3rd...same times.
Please bring a covered dish, salad or dessert and come join us to meet your neighbors and spend some time getting to know one another. The association will supply fried chicken.
We have many volunteer opportunities for this event, be it working in the morning to clean our park for LitterBlitz, to setting up or cleaning after the picnic.
LitterBlitz is a yearly spring litter clean up event sponsored by the City of Oklahoma City and Oklahoma City Beautiful. Volunteers choose a location they would like to see clean and volunteer to pick up litter. Many community groups and associations participate with an average of 3000 people a year participating. This will be the second year for the Denniston Park Neighborhood Association to participate.
We have invited many guests to attend, so you never know who you will meet on this day!
So mark your calendar and don?’t forget to bring your annual association membership dues!
