Flying the Flag

The Flag Code, adopted by the 77th Congress in 1942, formalized how the U.S. flag should be displayed in various situations. For display outside:
?• The flag should only be displayed from sunrise until sunset, unless illuminated.
?• The flag should not be displayed on days of bad weather unless an all-weather flag is used.
