Real Property Maintenance Ordinance

ORDINANCE NO. 6, AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE MAINTENANCE OF REAL PROPERTY

          WHEREAS, the City of Druid Hills finds it as public policy that the appearance of real property within the City limits contributes to the value, aesthetic appeal and beneficial enjoyment of all lands in the City, the City requires that all lots must be free of high weeds, grass and other undesirable vegetation. Property owners are responsible for the normal maintenance of their lot and any buildings thereon. Any pertinent Jefferson County, Kentucky ordinance or ruling on this subject shall supercede the City's ordinance and shall be enforced to the full extent of the law.

          This ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption, approval, and publication as required by law.

          Adopted and approved, this September 6, 1978.
