The City of Druid Hills issues property tax bills at the first of November each year. The tax rate is set each year by the City Commissioners and is based upon the property values set by the Jefferson County Property Valuation Authority. The tax is due on December 1. For late payments, a penalty will be assessed and interest will accrue until payment is received.
The City of Druid Hills receives the proceeds of a 4% municiple tax levied upon most insurance policies. This additional revenue allows the city to maintain one of the lowest property tax rates in the county. Please asssist the city by requesting that all of your insurance policies identify the City of Druid Hills as the city of record.
