ElderServe is the oldest and largest nonprofit senior services agency. We have two facilities, Dosker Manor downtown and the Oak and Acorn Center at 28th and Magazine. We offer the following services:

Senior Companion- seniors helping other seniors.

TeleCare - Volunteers call over 700 people a day to check up on them.

Social Service Program - Meets a variety of needs, including finding resources to help with housing, transportation and government benefits.

Group Services - group programs for those 55+.

Custom HomeCare Service- a helping hand to seniors living at home.

Crime Victims Assistance - Helps seniors file police reports, replace identification, work with police, get counseling and navigate the legal system.

SIT-UP Program - provides case management, chore service and recreation opportunities.

Family Caregiver Support Services - Education, support, counseling and respite for the caregivers of the elderly.

Grandparenting Program - Special services to support grandparents raising grandchildren.

Nutrition Program - Lunches for seniors at Dosker Manor and Oak and Acorn.

Adult Day Care - a medically supervised setting during the day for high-risk, homebound elderly.

Shocking Statistics

Beginning this January, a Baby Boomer will turn 60 every 7 and 1/2 seconds.

Persons aged 80 or older suffer abuse 2 to 3 times more than those who are between the ages of 65 and 80.
