Update to Vote on Fencing and Above Ground Portable Pools

Mar 06, 2006

We recently completed a petitioned vote regarding above ground portable pools and changes to fencing surrounding in-ground pools. The BOD has received all of the ballots and has tallied the results. We will publish the official results in the February-March Newsletter, but the outcome was as follows:

The initiative for allowing above ground portable pools did not pass. What this means is that no "above ground pools" to include the large portable pools are allowed.

The initiative to allow black metal or white vinyl fencing to be used to enclose a pool passed. This means that residents who have a pool and that want to install either white vinyl or black "wrought iron" fencing for the pool safety fencing may do so. The fencing should be proximate to the border of the pool and should not be used to enclose the entire border of the yard. Residents wanting to install a fence as a border for the yard or for dogs or children's play areas should comply with the covenants of "A-post and rail fences with or without chicken wire."

We will publish the official results shortly, and have scheduled an Annual meeting for April 6th.
