Elk Creek Farms

For the past several evenings we have been unable to use the sliding door to our deck (5/28, 29 & 30)due to the mosquito population.  There have been hundreds, possibly thousands of mosquitoes covering the back door and the siding.  We back up to the detention basin on Mystery Rose.  We have lived here since 2002 and have never experienced an infestation to this magnuitude.  I also might add that we do not use outside lighting unless we are taking our dog outside.  I have asked Paige Willover in the past to verify that the basin has been treated for mosquitoes, but cannot currently locate her email address. 
First of all, is anyone else experiencing this problem? Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile Virus often mix with mosquitoes that do not carry the virus, and with the number of mosquitoes that I have seen, I feel the odds are fairly certain that many of these mosquiotes are carriers.
