First Baptist Church of Wyandotte is locataed at 1925 Ford Avenue (between 19th and 20th Streets). Our phone number is (734) 282-1424.
At FBC we have two Worship opportunities each week that are all open to the public.
The first service is our ''Contemporary Service'' which meets from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. This service features one of our Praise Bands, an informal prayer and praise time and a practical message shared by Pastor Sturgeon. Children are invited to attend our ''Junior Church'' program that runs concurrent with this service. A nursury is available for small children.
The second worship opportunity we offer is our ''Traditional Sevice'' which meets from 11:00 to Noon each week. This service features our Sanctuary Choir, a more formal order of worship as well as a message designed to be practical and relevant to today's lifestyle. Children are encouraged to attend a ''Sunday School'' class during this service. Once again a nursury is available for young children.
Music Opportunities available include: Chancel Choir, ''19th Street'' (Contemporary Christian Music) and ''Pastor Billy's Holy Hearts Club Band'' (Praise Music)
Spiritual Growth Opportunities for Adults include: Sunday School at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. each week; a Thursday morning adult Bible Study at 10:00 a.m. each week; a Thursday evening adult Bible study that meets at 7:00 p.m. each week; and Sunday evening small groups that meet each week at various times.
Spiritual Growth opportunities for Senior Adults include monthly trips and fellowship opportunities as well as a number of service opportunities.
Spiritual growth opportunities for Youth include a weekly Sunday School class each week at 11:00 a.m.; Junior and Senior High Youth Group on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m.; and, various camp, convention, mission and special outings.
Spiritual Growth Opportunities for Children include Junior Church each Sunday at 9:30 a.m.; Sunday School at 11:00 a.m.; Thursday evening ''Exploreers'' at 7:00 p.m. and Summer Vacation Bible School.
Mission Opportunities include work with the following missions: Salvation Army (Wyandotte), Samaritan Assistance Center (Wyandotte), Senior Citizens Meals Ministry (Wyandotte), CROP Walk (Downriver), Friendship House (Hamtramck), Trinity Soup Kitchen (Detroit), The Open Door (Detroit), Freedom House (Detroit), Habitat for Humanity (Detroit) and American Baptist Missions (national/global).
