This little piece of cyberspace is dedicated to our little corner of the real world. Fitzgerald Street is sort of like a small town within a big city. Most of us know each other, if not by name, at least by sight.
A car passing by is reason enough to wave even if we can’t see the driver. It has to be someone we know, and even if it isn’t, well we’re just a friendly bunch.
Summer evenings will always find a large number of us out for a walk. Many times though, not much walking gets done. There’s always someone to stop and chat with.
Some of us came here as young married couples and stayed to raise families, and become grandparents. Some of us have only been here a short time. A few grew up here and just stayed for forty or fifty years. No matter how we came to live here I would hope that everyone is made to feel welcome.
Many of us have attended each other’s weddings, anniversaries, graduations, and funerals. That’s what family does, and that’s what we are. We’re all part of the Fitzgerald Family.
