Healthy Babies funds are used to assist low income Healthy Start clients who are not eligible or denied Medicaid and do not have access to other health insurance for their prenatal care. Since July 1, 2002 Healthy Babies funding has assisted 9 pregnant women receive prenatal care. Additionally, thanks to a donation from the Margaritaville Store, we were able to assist a single pregnant mother with respite care for her other children while she was at the hospital with her newborn.
