1.if you haven?’t used an
item for over a year?…
consider putting it in the sale.
2.make sure you have enough change to give your customers: 2:$20, 2:$10, 3:$5, 10:$1, 10:quarters
2a.price items so they end in .25, .5, .75, & .00
3.group similar items together
4.clearly mark each item with legible price label
5.in general, a used item in good condition should be priced at 50% of its new price.
6.hang clothing up if possible
7.clean an item the best you can to increase the chance it will sell (wash clothes before you sell)
8.start setting up 1 hour prior to announced time
9.collect/orgranize your items for sale at least 1 day in advance to minimize setup time.
10.clean out garage minimum 1 week prior to big day
