The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m.

The minutes from the January meeting were read and approved.

Announcements:
Bruce Sternberg, Chair at Southeast Uplift, will be at the March meeting
In April OM Seafood will be there to discuss the good neighbor agreement. There is a report of cardboard fish boxes lined up behind the building instead of in dumpsters. Parking and graffiti seem to have improved a little.
City of Portland pocket directories were passed out.
There is a sex offender at 122nd & Boise. The notice was passed around the room.
There are budget meetings going on at a city level. There is a 2-1/2% cut proposed across the board. Parks and recreation will be cut, as will be many other activities. Meeting times and locations were listed.
The Ross Island bridge will be closing lanes for a year.
In accordance with votes at the January meeting, letters were written to Charlie Hales on behalf of he neighborhood in support of an extension of time and assistance to save Bruce Clark?’s trolley station, and requesting review for a possible stop sign at 76th & Center. A letter had also been written in support of the Lents 2000 Town Center project.
A check for $165 was received from the NE Coalition for handing out flyers and participating in the curb-side pickup.
There was brief discussion about traffic problems on 82nd & Powell. A motion was made, seconded and approved to write a letter requesting review of the intersection for possible photo surveillance of people who run the red light.

Neighborhood Pride Team and Trillium Artisans:
Phyllis Shelton of Neighborhood Pride Team and Rebecca Slak from Trillium Artisans came to talk about their work. Some of their projects include computer training, and association mapping, with a booklet coming out this summer listing associations and volunteer opportunities.

Mr. Clark suggested it was a good time for a southeast youth orchestra, and that he has the building space of such a group to meeting.

The Lents Community Market will be back at 92nd & Foster again this year.

Miscellaneous:
On August 20 or 27 there will be another Symphony in the Park.
Here was a short discussion regarding a service project. Bring your ideas for March.
Jim Barrett turned in a packet requesting curb cuts along Holgate for handicap access.
Lents Urban Renewal has budgeted $50,000 for a cemetery fence. Steve Witter has volunteered to be involved in the design. The money has not yet been approved by Portland Development Commission.
