About our association

FWCAA STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The purpose of the Freedom West Community Action Association is to organize and develop leadership and to participate in and direct actions that will maintain and improve the appearance and safety of our community. We firmly believe that a clean, well-maintained neighborhood is, in itself, a deterrent to crime.

HAROLD COGDELL, JR. - OUR DISTRICT 3 CITY COUNCILMAN

Public Service:
Harold Cogdell Jr., a Democrat, represents Charlotte City Council District 3. He was elected to the Charlotte City Council in 2001 and is serving his first term.
Cogdell serves as a member of the Council Budget, Public Safety and Restructuring Government committees.


Employment:
Cogdell is an attorney


Education:
Cogdell received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his law degree from N.C. Central University.


Personal:
Cogdell is single.
