How To Improve Freedom Drive

A community involvement meeting was held on Monday, January 28 and surprised the sponsors that so many people attended. It was standing room only! There was an overview of statistical data that had been compiled by an outside agency to explain some of the reasons why Freedom Drive has become the blighted neighborhood that it is and why it is perceived as a bad neighborhood. A demonstration of how it can be changed was offered. A meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, February 20 to get more input from the community. All meetings are held at the Mall, just inside the main entrance at 7:00 p.m.
