AGENDA: 4/27/11
Thank you to all who have taken time from their busy schedules to join us at the FBHSF meetings and helping out with the agenda for this year, coordinating of the different fundraisers, and just being present to help in any way possible.
We also are in the midst of ending one school year and getting ready for summer. While enjoying the summer, we also need to prepare for the upcoming fall and start of the 2011/2012 school year. This brings with it a number of required preparations needed to guarantee a successful football season.
During the summer we need to prepare the fall fund raisers which provide funding for the many extras in which all the boys can enjoy throughout their football season. We already have a number of fund raisers planned that promise to be lots of fun.
On a personal note,
TO ALL the parents who have supported us for the past few years, (and there have been MANY) and all the people who have pledged their time to support the program and enhance their son's football experience, I want to thank you all..... I am greatly indebted to all of you.
I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of people who I am honored to now call friends, all because of a simple act of volunteering. I am blessed to have had the pleasure of working and playing with you all.

At our last meeting at which we discussed the following:
August brings with it the need for volunteers help us with the
1) AD BOOK which is sold at all home games. WE WILL GO TO PRINT early this year to make sure the books are available for the full season. FORMS must go out in August with Pigskin/practice.
2) Secure Dates with Mike Denise for all Fund Raisers at school. (Fun Night) (Jenny Boston) (“Friends“ meetings) Etc.
3) Braintree Football Apparel: ORDERING, STYLES, ETC. Order Apparel stock for delivery by first home game.
4) Coordinate with Coach, Gold Tournament if this is an option for this fall. Secure Dates Etc.
September Brings with it the following needs.
5) Secure volunteers for Fun Night at the end of September.
6) Snack bar volunteers to help with ordering, stocking, opening & cleaning for season,
7) STAFFING of SNACKBAR -SIGN UP EARLY FOR THE GAME YOU WANT! The snack bar is a major source of revenue for our teams. Eight volunteers times five home games means we need 40 parents to complete the season without having to ask anyone twice. Also, we would like to avoid asking parents of seniors so they may watch and enjoy their sons' performance on the field.
8) Field Assistance: We also need a chain gang of three for each home game--it's the best seat in the house !! Frosh and soph parents, don’t be shy….....we need you !!
9) Class Coordinator to help with volunteer communications.
10) The Junior Jackets. These need to be ordered ASAP and funds need to be collected to ensure the order is complete by the end of the season. This takes about 6-8 weeks so time is of the essence. ORDER NEEDS TO BE IN BY MID SEPTEMBER.
ALSO DISCUSSED:
11) Pasta feeds (always after practice the day before a game) this year we have decided to attempt this on our own….this will be a huge undertaking but save us thousands of dollars. So if you can offer assistance, please do.
12) Game day. We need volunteers to help out at the snack-bar.
13) Team yard sale @ hollis school 8am-1pm mandatory player participation ….that means all are expected to participate.
14) Fun night @ bhs gym 6-9
grades 1-5 $10 mandatory varsity player participation …there will be a sign in sheet and a sign out sheet which will be provided to coach proving your participation.
15) Comedy night @ sons of italy, local and nationally known comedians, 50/50, and raffle items
16) Team banquet: a well deserved team dinner with a roasting of players, a presentation of plaques and shirts to seniors, jackets to juniors, and lots of food and sweets....date to be determined
17) Senior night: desserts and coffee served in lobby while photos are taken, flowers and hats presented to parents by players on field, etc.
18) CHANGE OVER OF OFFICERS. Transferring of the reigns to the new underclassmen parents who, I am sure will bring this fine group to a new level of excellence. SEE NEXT PAGE.
