Located in the Midtown Neighborhood of Milwaukee, bordered by 22nd and 23rd Streets, Juneau and McKinley Avenues, Lynden Hill is a beautiful place that offers lessons from the past and a promise of the future. Lynden Hill is a unique landscape, a complete city block with over 50 trees, an expansive grassy space, a sloping hill and a natural amphitheater.
In 1999, Lynden Hill was designated as the City of Milwaukee?’s Urban Tree House. The Urban Tree House is an environmental education project of the USDA Forest Service. The goal is to provide opportunities for environmental education in an urban setting. The program is designed to develop an environmental stewardship ethic among youth and to increase public awareness, appreciation and ownership of our natural resources.
