Progress towards Opening Day

Since mid-May, our kick-off grant has been approved by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. We have created a website and an email address, secured a P.O. Box, drafted proposed by-laws for the College, and identified co-incorporators.

We have also spoken to several potential instructors and the Fall 2001 curriculum is well under development. We hope to begin with 4-5 courses serving as many as 40 students initially.

We also hope to host or sponsor a number of neighborhood-project workshops and other events.

After that, the sky is the limit. Stay tuned, and get in touch! We need your support! The Neighborhood College is all about "Neighbors Helping Neighbors."
