Webster's Collegiate dictionary defines Garden Park as "of or relating to paradise." This phrase well describes Garden Park/Eastgate and its surrounding communities: Seal Beach (College Park East), Rossmoor, Los Alamitos, Cypress, Buena Park, Stanton, and Westminster.
Great weather, location and services contribute to the appeal of these communities. Located at the western boundary of the City of Garden Grove, Garden Park/Eastgate is nestled where the 405 and 22 Freeways meet in northwest Orange County near the south Los Angeles County border in Southern California.
The area used to be strawberry fields and farms before being developed by S&S and other builders in the 1960s.
In just 10 short minutes, you can walk the piers of Seal Beach or Huntington Beach. Nearby Westminster Mall, Long Beach Towne Center (605 Freeway-Carson/Del Amo Exit), and South Coast Plaza (405 Freeway-Bristol Exit) provide convenient shopping.
Getting away (if you have to) is also a breeze: four local airports are less than an hour's drive: Long Beach (LGB), Orange County (SNA), Los Angeles (LAX), and Ontario (ONT).
This site was developed in an effort to centralize communication among these neighboring communities, to provide a community calendar, a central forum for discussing issues, a place where notices (garage sales, lost pets, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, meetings, events, etc.) can be posted and links to places or interest, including schools, city departments, and recreational activities, are made available.
Visitors can click on the individually named communities under the Community Pages section for information specific to that area.
Our hope is that our neighbors will find this site easy to navigate and update it often so that www.gardenparkneighbors.com will be the place to go to find out what's happening in the Garden Park Communities.
