The association meeting was called to order by President Tasha at 6:30 p.m. There were 37 neighbors in attendance. Ms. Connie received the gift certificate for bringing the most guests (4).

President Tasha announced that there is going to be a neighborhood clean-up on Saturday, October 20, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. She encouraged all residents of Gateway to participate. The City will provide a dumpster which will be located in her driveway to deposit debri and trash that is picked up in the neighborhood that day.

She also reported that the graffiti is back on the fence at the corner of Gateway and Westhaven again. She also warned everyone of leaving anything valuable in their cars because in less than 2 minutes someon reached into her car and stole her wallet.

President Tasha said that she only needs 141 more signatures to be able to get a study on placing speed humps throughout the Gateway neighborhood.

President Tasha said she has received word that the grant proposal that she submitted to fix up the entrance to Gateway and the park has been received and we should hear something in January or February on whether or not it is approved. She is also looking into the Eagledale Weed and Seed grant that also covers the Gateway area.

President Tasha said several of the neighbors' concerns have been taken care of. They are the stoplight at 38th and Bennett Drive, lane arrows at the same location, graffiti on streets, and tickets are being issued for high weeds, grass, and trash.

The neighborhood picnic that was to be held on October 6 is being canceled due to that being Circle City Classic weekend.

Presdient Tasha said she is collecting money to raise enough to pay the $90 fee to incorporate the Gateway Neighborhood Association. (She collected $71 at this meeting).

Special guest, Sahara Williams, announced she will be hosting a Business Diversity Festival at her place, 3900 Moller Road, October 13, from 12-5 p.m. All neighbors are invited to attend and if they would like to set up a table detailing their small business to contact her.

Some of the concerns of neighbors that needs to be looked into are: street cleaning, clean-up of creek bank behind residents on Vinewood, and continuous trash along the curb in front of the Gateway Condos.

The next Gateway Neighborhood Association meeting will be held on October 4, 6:30 p.m., in School #109 gymnasium.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
