Girl Scout Troop 749
Junior Girl Scout Troop
Troop 749 is a Junior Girl Scout troop that meets at Sugarloaf Elementary School. This year(2003-2004), most of the girls will be starting the fourth grade.
Activities and Fun Projects
Troop 749 is a very active troop. Last year they went horseback riding and ice skating in Miami and went to the Miami Science Museum. They love to camp,play games, sing songs, create and perform skits, and do art projects. Every year the girls organize a special Tea Party for their moms.
Community Service
All Girl Scouts are expected to do community service. Troop 749 collects pop-tabs and canned goods for organizations, they man the water table during the BPW No-name Walk/Run-a-thon, they work the game booths at the Kids Karnival and they help out at the Big Pine Key Animal Shelter.
