I hope someone here can give me some advice! Today, for the third time this year, my trash barrel was thrown down by the garbage truck with such force that it broke. This afternoon, the truck threw my barrel down so hard that the wheels came flying off the can. I've called in the past (three different times) to complain and ask for someone to come and fix my barrel. They always say that they've taken a report but no one ever comes out to fix/replace the barrel. I've also had to call because they don't always pick up my leaves/grass clippings (non traditional garbage or recycling items). Each time that I call I feel as if I'm being brushed off. A neighbor recently told me that he called to complain about his own trash pickup issues and was told that for anything to be done about it, "a lot more people would have to call and complain"----he says that's a direct quote from the person that he spoke with on the phone. He also said that the company picking up our garbage right now is one that has been contracted out by our usual company. If anyone has any advice on how to handle my garbage can issue, I'd appreciate it. My next door neighbor is fixing my trash barrel for me as I type this----thank goodness for good neighbors!
