Gray's Woods is located on Des Moines' EAST Side across from the Iowa State Fairgrounds
entrance/exit at the intersection of East University and East 33rd. Continue out East
University or Easton Blvd. to Pleasant Hill, our neighboring suburb. The neighborhood has as
its boundaries on the west: East 33rd Street, on the east: East 42nd Street (city limits), on the
north: Easton Blvd, and on the south: East University Ave.

You Can Make A Difference - Join Us

Gray's Woods is a strong, active neighborhood association. It consists of a group of thoughtful, committed citizens out to make a positive change in our neighborhood. Residents can make the community a better place to live by representing your specific area of the neighborhood at our meetings.

Goals

Gray's Woods - we help educate residents about crime, safety, housing and environmental issues by inviting institutions to our meetings. Join us and make your voice heard.

Gray's Woods Neighborhood Association

GWNA - History. Established in 1996 as a nonprofit, tax exempt, charitable organization made up of volunteers. It is a separate entity and it is not affiliated with the City of DSM or the State of Iowa. GWNA serves as a gateway to the EAST-side.

GWNA Mission Statement - Purpose

Purpose of the organization is to enhance the quality of life in the Gray's Woods community by providing information on issues of concern to our neighbors, improving neighborhood appearance and promoting safety.

GWNA Mission Statement - Goals

March 1999 DSM City Council & Polk Co Suprs. approved our Neighborhood ACTION Plan emphasizing community enhancement, business development, housing and infrastructure rehabilitation.
