Wharton Field House is an arena in Moline, Illinois. It hosted the NBA's Tri-Cities Blackhawks from 1946 until they left for Milwaukee in 1951, and the CBA's Quad City Thunder from 1987 until the team moved its home games to the MARK of the Quad Cities (now known as the i wireless Center) in 1993. The arena holds 6,000 people and was built in 1928. It is the current home of the Moline Maroons, the local high school team, and is home to the Quad City Riverhawks of the Premier Basketball League. The high school also holds its graduation there. In 2004, USA Today named it one of the top places to watch high school basketball. [1] Recently it has become the home of the Moline school district Chili Challenge.

Willard Elementary School
Welcome to Willard Elementary School, located in Moline, IL, on the banks of the Mississippi River. Since 1899, Willard School has been educating the youngsters of Moline in the spirit of our namesake, educator Francis Willard. We are happy to invite you to "Be a Positive Partner in the Willard Community."
Willard School is a Kindergarten - Sixth grade elementary school. We currently number 255 children and approximately 24 faculty and staff members. We are proud of our well maintained three story school building and our beautiful school grounds. Willard School enjoys an involved and active parent group, the Willard Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO sponsors many family-oriented activities each year and fully supports our school by enhancing the facilities, materials, programs, and opportunities for students.
The curriculum in every grade provides active hands-on, experiential learning opportunities for all boys and girls. Academic programs are extended by experiences in the arts, including art, vocal music, instrumental music, physical education and library science.
At Willard school, our dedicated teachers work together to meet the needs of all students in an accessible facility and an inclusive learning environment.
We hope the information in this website helps you to get to know us better! Thank you for your interest in Willard Elementary School.
