Preaching Elder
John Matala

Preaching Elder, John Matala, is a graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He graduated in the second graduating class from the Billy Graham School of evangelism, church growth, and missions.

John is a Bi-vocational Pastor who works full time for the Wayside Christian Mission, Louisvilles largest Christian based homeless shelter. It was in this environment that God began to stir his heart for the people of the city.

John believes that American cities are more like the city of Ephesus, from the Apostle Paul's time, than at at any other time in our history. He states that ''God is sending a bountiful harvest from the world, to our cities, while many churches are moving to the suburbs. However, I am convinced that the Spirit of God will bring Christ's church to repentence and revival for the continuance of her mission, reaching the lost.''


Worship Leader
Michael Matala

Michael is currently a second semester student at Boyce College in Louisville majoring in Biblical counseling. His desire to follow Christ has provided opportunities to serve as a youth conference speaker, camp counselor, and conference worship leader. Besides being a talented musician, Michael has a passion for introducing young people to Christ.
