Programs

Harbor House offers a variety of programmatic services and activities, allowing them to enjoy, in their daytime hours, the most integrated setting possible. Our program site handles bulk mailing, industrial sub-assembly and medical records management. Participants gain skills in communication and cooperation while they continue to develop a sense of responsibility and an increased measure of self-esteem. In addition, they learn transferable job and social skills giving them the ability to continue to be able to function in our ever growing and changing society.

Vocational Training

Pre-Vocational & Vocational Training ?– Daily, through continuous on-site job coaching with mail service fulfillment tasks; off-site in community paid employment; sorting of hospital medical records on microfilm; and, cleaning of hospital medical charts.

Life Skills Training (community outings and volunteer opportunities) ?– Daily, weekly, monthly, to include, but is not limited to: social skills coaching; guidance in preparing their own meals; wearing of proper attire and professional manner while volunteering at CARITAS Hospital as part of an on-going educational program; and, when participants accompany Harbor House staff and volunteers on community outings, shopping trips, or to have lunch, do laundry or to just take and outing to run errands.

Automated Bulk-Mailing Services

Providing services in the following areas:

Database & Mail List Management, Bar Coded Bulk Mailings, Laser Printing of Letters, Labeling (supplied by you or printed by us), Sorting, Collating, Stamp Affixing, Metered Mail, Packaging, Record Maintenance or Sub Assemble of items, Delivery to the Main Post Office.
