Harmony Woods is made up of 482 residences, 247 in the Maintenance Corporation and 235 in the Civic Association. The official title of the community is Harmony Crest, Section III, Phase I Maintenance Corporation/Harmony Woods Civic Association, Inc. The HCMC/HWCA is mandated to pay fees to the State of Delaware and New Castle County each year.
The welfare, safety and security of the community is the number one goal of the Board of Directors which is made up of four elected officials: President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer and three appointed Senior Advisory Council members, Sr. Advisor I, Sr. Advisor II and Sr. Advisor III.
A misconception for years that the dues of which are $25.00 per residence per year was for snow plowing. This is totally false. It is part of a great deal of services and activities for the community. Grass Maintenance of the Community Common Ground and four entrances, Santa Claus On The Fire Truck, Spring Egg Hunt, Best Decorated Holiday House, eleven newsletters a year, Community Directory published once a year, Spring and Fall Yard Sales, Community Bar-B-Que and any other items of interest in the community.
