So you all are certain about the association here is a brief history of our activities. We first organized in the fall of 1990. The association generally consists of the homes on the 1000 and 1100 blocks of east third street. We have been certified by the City's crime stop program since 1991. Out of all the activities we have involved ourselves, one thing stands out and that is a great group of friends (in addition to Roger and Linda) who can meet, associate with each other and look out for each other. That is what neighbors are supposed to be. Come visit us sometime.
Harrison Acres is an officially organized neighborhood through the Neighborhood Outreach Office of the City of Mesa for nearly 10 years. We were th 14th neighborhood to become officially registered. The number of registered neighborhoods is in the hundreds.
We would encourage 2nd Street and Place, Third Place and University (south side) to become more regular in their repective street's activities and take the initiative to carry out social and organizational activities to maintain their status with the "Neighborhood Watch Program". If you need more information Holly Hosac with MPD and Deanna Villanueva-Saucedo of the Neighborhood Outreach Office can be of great assistance. If there is enough interest we can set a regular annual Harrison Acres block party. You let us know.
