Neighborhood Profile

Heatherwood is a diverse neighborhood that is about 45 years old. There are 396 homes in the Heatherwood area laden with tall pine trees, large oak trees and mature landscaping. We have a Homeowners' Association and a Security Association that patrols the neighborhood 24hours, 7 days a week.

Heatherwood is proud to boast that we are one of the most desired neighborhoods in the Jackson area filling our streets with families out enjoying the friendliness and safety that is so appealing to current and future residents who are fortunate to call Heatherwood home.

As a close community of friends, Heatherwood enjoys several social functions throughout the year.

In close proximity to this neighborhood are both public and private schools that you can view by going to the home page of this web site and clicking on "Neighborhood Schools", 2 fire stations that are within a 2 mile radius, churches, shopping, restaurants and parks.

We are a neighborhood committed to being involved in the greater Jackson community, being involved in outreach programs and having a close relationship with the City of Jackson officials.

About Heatherwood Area Homeowners' Association

Established in 1992, the Heatherwood Area Homeowners' Association is made up of 396 homes and is governed by a board of 12 members.

Our active association has dues of $50.00 per year. The dues subsidize the Heatherwood directory, car decals, new street signs, upkeep on the planters located on the corner of Runnymede and Old Canton Roads, annual social activies such as the Fall Cookout, Ladies Christmas Gathering, Wine and Cheese Party, the Easter Parade and other projects.

Heatherwood protective covenants and guidelines are in place.
